I thought only wealthy people needed an "estate plan", so we never did any estate planning. Laura explained that if you have kids and own a house, you need a plan (and life insurance). What impresses me most about Laura and Bonnie (her asst.) is that they really do remember who you are even if you are not a CEO or a VIP. They are happy to work with "John and Jane Average". Perhaps more important is that this firm is there for you even after your estate plan is done. You really can say, "my attorney" and mean it. (Again, something I thought only wealthy people had.) This firm wants to be your attorney-for-life, so they are happy to talk to the other people in your life--your financial adviser, your mortgage company, your insurance agent, etc. (If you don't have one, they can give you a referral.) In closing, if you are like me-- have a house and children, but not living "lifestyles of the rich and famous"-- call Bonnie and set up an appointment with Laura. You need it even if you think you don't.
