A few years ago when we were grinding it out starting the law firm, and having more kids, we had some friends who told us about a trip they had just taken to NewYork with another couple. I remember thinking, wow, what would that be like to just get up and go to New York, and with friends!
Well, fast forward a few years later, and we finally got to take that wish trip to NewYork with friends :)! We enjoyed all of the typical Manhattan adventures, and even had some fun celebrity run-ins (Ryan Seacrest and David Muir from ABC World News Tonight!)
The photo above was taken on our last night at Gotham Comedy Club with our friends after watching Pete Correale perform. All in all, it was a fantastic trip, and a reminder that life is full of seasons, and it's nice to have a little time now for ourselves to get away together.
With Thanksgiving coming up, I am thinking of all I'm grateful for (and how to fit everyone in my house for dinner lol). You know, Josh and I really think a lot about the families who come to us for help, either for their estate planning needs, or just because they need someone to talk to about life's ups and downs.
I'm always reminded that people go through so much and really need the rest of us cheering them on. My hope this holiday season is that I can look a little more to the left, and to the right, to see that person who needs that extra hand or smile. And, to really cherish my family more, and thank God more for all He has done.
A big happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and thank you for being part of our lives.
